I've never heard anything official. And the people at the presentation centre were completely evasive when asked about it. Is there some official documentation that I am not aware of?

It depends on whether they've signed a lease with a theatre operator (and whether one wants to open there)
- and that's a private contractual matter (they could be negotiating with different operators simultaneously (then signing with only one)).

No movie theatre there now. I recall some time back before London Drugs the previous owners were considering Theaters but went a different route. As for the digging, my understanding is they received approval for the retail first, which covers almost all the currently fenced site, then the first res tower and now they are going for approval of the second tower. point being the retail below is already approved. I guess they expect to receive approval and are moving forward on that assumption.

if they do open a theatre i don't think cineplex would be allowed to open - they pretty much have the market in vancouver and probably can't approvl for another theatre

that said it could be a landmark theatre

There's nothing preventing "organic" growth.
The Competition Bureau only gets involved in a purchase and sale transaction.

Yeah I was about to say that. They wouldn't need any approval to grow or open new theatres. They would need approval to purchase a competitor, though.

I didn't realize while looking at the website in the past that they have eliminated the floors with 4, with the exception of the 40s. So the top floor is advertise as 61

The floors are still there, they just label them differently, but I understand what you meant and yes they do that in many buildings now for a well-discussed off-topic reason.

As for digging the holes at the same time, I would imagine they will be digging the hole for the entire project including tower 2 at somewhat the same time seeing as it was mentioned tower 2 is supposed to be completed only 6 months after the first. I'd imagine excavation will go similar to Park Avenue out in Surrey where they start at the first tower site and dig it out progressively moving to the other location. Right now they have the tower crane up and hole complete for tower 1 Park Avenue but are not 100% complete with the digging at the second tower site. It will be about 6 months behind.

Same deal here. They start near tower 1 and as it is digging out slowly move towards the tower 2 site. When site 1 is dug out, start base, get crane up, and start foundation as they complete digging site 2. Staggered by about 6 months.

2nd phase 6 months behind the 1st. I know I've asked this one before and apologize that I don't remember if it was answered, when is the anticipated completion date for each tower and the retail? Would really like to see the retail as soon as possible.

The timing for excavating and building the "middle" plaza and commercial retail space - and opening it at the same time as the towers? -may also factor in. Since that part of the project is smaller than the towers (but still complicated), it may not get going until the two towers are quite advanced.

Also out in Surrey, I'm thinking of the King George Station Coast Capital Building, where parking access is required through phase 2, but phase 2 hasn't much started yet.

Are they not intended to be the same height? Brentwood TWO would be closer in that rendering and therefore would appear taller due to perspective.

Agreed, it's just perspective. In fact, on the skyline, Tower 1's higher ground elevation means it'll appear taller from a distance.

If this is true... that means the prices for Brentwood TWO is much much higher, because Brentwood ONE prices also start from $299,900 but from 33rd floor. If each floor elevation worth $1,200... the same floor level would be like $35,000ish more expensive. Wow!
