kudos to the City of Calgary Parks Dept. for the awesome flowers in various places around town like Eau Claire.

This apple tree is across 11th Ave SE from the Vic Park cop shop where the Marriott is supposed to go, so I guess there is a precedence for apple tree orchards in Victoria Park? The apples tasted like Granny Smiths, tart and sweet and juicy. It would be a shame if the wasps ate them all.

I haven't done a fake tilt-shift for a while and I thought the perspective in this shot would be good for tilt-shift. Yes I know it is a gimmick but I think it is a fun effect.

Great shots Jimby and there's no shame in a good tilt-shift. To paraphrase a biker saying, "Better a brother doing a tilt-shift than a sister doing HDR" or something like that. It's been a while since I flipped through an EasyRider.

Only took one picture today, at the end of the day and far from the best one I could have taken, but I kind of like the white on green look the snow provided.

It's so cool how a tilt shift lens makes big construction equipment look like little toys.

Awesome!

There's been so many new cool festivals here lately. Quick look at the Downtown Twitter page for Sept alone. EV has been introducing its own set of festivals on top of this too.
