New renders for the project located on the hideous parking lot adjacent from an otherwise pleasant Riopelle square. Two towers ranging from about 25 floors and 33 floors. The tallest tower clocks in at 120m, I'd say.

Here is the previous render from a few months ago:

Here's some context, it would replace the parking lot on the top of the image, finally closing in what I think is one of this country's best public spaces.

Nice, those renders look great. Big things happening in Montreal these days. Actually all the renderings I've seen lately out of Quebec (including Quebec City) have been awesome. High standards there

Good news for Edmonton! I didn't realize they were that close to a start date for Stanteck!

Small, but very interesting restaurant/retail project on Calgary's Riverwalk in East Village:

Wow, another amazing proposal for the East Village. Can't believe that. I was just expecting a one storey restaurant on that lot. This couldn't be more perfectly scaled, and the design is sweet. Perfectly modern and in a prominent location right on the river and RiverWalk Plaza.

That looks horrific. Laval is hopeless.

The Laval ones look like they could be okay with decent cladding. The Hamilton one looks promising.

Laval-des-Rapides , 3 Metro stations, an AMT station, a good bus transit, a University de Montréal campus, CEGEP, a futur arena, and everything within walking distance,

35k 6.8km² 5,147/km² ... you don't need a car.

the Urbania project will sell rapidly, LDR is booming.

Nope. Doing that is just the least they can do. Offering good architecture would be worth applauding.

But really I don't care. I avoid Laval and don't think about it.

I've always been impressed with the stuff coming from Quebec City as well as urban Montreal (excluding suburbs like Laval, Longueuil et al). It really does seem as though design standards are a notch above the rest of the country.
