To be fair, I think part of the blame for this lies with the library building. It is dark and rundown. Washrooms are small and dirty. There are too many dark corners with no sightlines. If I have the means and mobility to choose a library to study in, why would I choose the downtown library over the TDFL at the UofC? The new central library, however, is completely different. It is bright and open. It is inspiring and I would think it should attract more kids, families, etc.
