They are just waiting on a permit to release the announcement.

^Are you referring to elapsed time or capital pointe time? From this day forward all times must be given with the prefix of the unit involved. RPT or CPT.

RPT = real person time, where one hour equals one hour and one week is one week
CPT = capial pointe time. One hour in CPT equals approximately equivalen to guaging time in FYOT (Four-Year Old Time) in which one minute seems to take hours and one week is approximately 1.32873 months (but that is an approximation)

If you are saying that it is impossible to guage how long six weeks in CPT would be, you would be correct.

I was being sarcastic since they always seem to be waiting for permits and keep blaming the city for hold ups. :p

Well, it's been 5 years and 1 month since I first saw this proposal. (At the time, as a 19-storey-tall structure.)

So, judging from the optimism I've been seeing on the last couple pages, I assume this has a better possibility of happening now than ever before? Should I start getting excited again?

On the new render, I count 26 storeys, with a roof-height equivalent of 27 storeys, and an official-height (spire) equivalent of about 30 storeys. Depending on floor heights, this could end up around 100 meters officially

I've always thought it was to be 82.5m (building); 90m (spire).

That could still be it, but it looks taller than that. I would be interested to see the revised data, as the building has gone through several minor redesigns.

I hope so too. The rendering of the NCO Building (on the right) actually has nine floors atop the parkade, not eight. Lol!

I agree. Given that the NCO building to the right is in the 55m range, that is looking to be above 100m with the crest, even before the pointy cheater antennae, I mean spire.

I wouldn't hold your breath yet. Optimism is generally sarcasm at the promise-challenged develoeprs.

I don't think they are promise challenged, they've made lots of promises. Perhaps build-challenged is a better adjective?

^I figured it out. They are extraterrestrials from Mercury and one day is actually 60 Earth days. So, doing the math, we should hear something around the summer of 2021.
