Uhhhhh what? I'm so confused. The article claims the tower will be 20 stories too when it will only be 12. It also says the topping off ceremony but then later in the article says the tower won't be completed until next year. I think this is just really sloppy journalism.

Chicago’s Industrious to open massive Philly coworking space, then another

The venture-backed Industrious plans to launch in Center City and Old City.

Industrious is the second large-scale, shared office space to announce a Philadelphia expansion. A company from Miami called Pipeline announced it would open a 21,000-square-foot space in Center City this fall. These efforts dwarf the homegrown options, like Center City’s Benjamin’s Desk (6,000 square feet) and Callowhill’s Venturef0rth (10,000 square feet). Only Kensington’s Impact Hub comes close in size (27,000 square feet).

The sloppiest part of this article might be pairing the phrase "muscled men" with that photograph.

I think that is just in reference to the name change. A few months ago there was a rumor that Suburban Station was going to be called Verizon Station but of course that never happened. Verizon did boost its advertising presence in and around Suburban, but thats about it.

This sentence implies something more is afoot:

SEPTA will be making an announcement about major changes for Market East in the very near future, but we're not ready to discuss those changes at this time,

Is the change of a name that most people won't adopt for a very long time really a major change? Most people I know that use SEPTA still call the trains they take by the R#.

Now if they're going to announce that they are going to spend so much money to spruce it up and get the pee stink out of there that would be a major announcement.

Not sure if you're facetious or not, but it's been widely and repeatedly reported that the southern end of Dillworth (pictured) won't be ready until about Thanksgiving.

Article about Rodin Square (now Dalian on Fairmount) includes a nice little tidbit about possible future developments:

Dalian is interested in looking at other developments in Philadelphia. The city is in the first quarter of its rebirth and Nolan predicts it will continue see additional high-end buildings constructed as higher rents support them.

Have they really announced openings for different parts of it? All I've heard is one date for it all. (I.E., http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/thing...vents-with-opening-of-Dilworth-Park.html) Guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to other articles.

Also, dear god there's going to be a lot of events at this thing.

"Due to five weeks of severe winter weather, the surface of the park will be 85%-90% complete on opening day, with new entrances to transit and the new concourse open and the northern two-thirds of the surface, including the café and fountain, fully operational. The remaining portion, including the lawn and walkways to South Penn Square, are scheduled to be finished between mid- and late October [Although I've seen seen the remaining portion being opened in November, not October.]"

There are some signs that the opening is getting closer underground. The black painted barrier that was underground on the CH side of 15th street was gone this morning, but they still have the barrier in place going south from the MSB to the underground portion of Dilworth. SEPTA has done a lot of cosmetic work in the 15th street trolley station area and fare collection area shared by 15th and the Orange Line. New flooring surface, new LED lights, some new painting and they are finishing the elevator.
