jesus. Even if this road could be predicted as useful (no such proof exists as far as I know on traffic projects and growth patterns), could they not have tried to ease into it a bit? Every fly-over is 2+ lanes, every turn is designed for 100km/h.
Even if all the rosiest (rosy in this context means alot of traffic i.e. a bad thing) traffic predictions prove to be true, we won't need a double-lane off-ramp on nearly any of these intersections for 30 years. This is outrageously over-designed.
Hell, Crowchild only became free-flow 5 years ago and it has, and will always have, more traffic than this road will ever see. It sure as shit didn't cost $5 billion either.
