kerrisdale is interesting. This little cluster of buildings in the middle of the city. not sure how that came about exactly.

I think they are mostly just midrises. The whole Vancouver West Side is so much single-family houses that few midrises will pop out like that.

I absolutely low the clouds over the North Shore Mountains in this photo. Always a treat when departing from YVR.

I wish I had the skills to take an image and just replace Signal Hill with a Coast Mountain peak, replace 351 Water Street with a Dubai tower... just to REALLY see what the difference is.

You visit these places, but you're immersed in their scale and it's hard to compare the two in your mind. I remember being in Saint John and thinking, wow, this is steeper than St. John's - and then coming home and thinking, "What? Not even close...".

All Toronto needs now is one true supertall to cap off its impressive collection of office towers.

I'd love to see more major office towers split off from the primary core, supertall or not. That is part of why I love the idea of the 156 Front proposal, I just hate the design.

In my opinion 156 Front will just extend the core westward, a bit. It would sit between the Exchange Tower and RBC Centre (2009) in that shot above.

I love the design for 156 Front. It's space age and cool. But it's one thing to have an opinion on a render, another to see it actually go up.
