I by chance drove by 16M today, and had to pull over and take a pic. Pardon the low quality of my cellphone camera, but it appears as if 16M is pretty much done, although I haven't been able to find any announcements of its opening or such.

Anyways, I'm much more impressed with the building seeing it in person than I have been in pics...... and the irony is I'm posting a pic, but it does appear finished.

This looks like a quality building.

I agree, I have walked past 16M a couple times since it's been nearly complete, and every time I think to myself what a nice building it is, really fitting well into the downtown urban fabric.

Now it's time for Larimer Place to step up and do something with that huge blank wall adjacent to this nice new building. The Office Depot used to take away from some of the ugliness, but 16M looks fantastic and Larimer Place looks pretty awful at street level. Does anyone know what's behind that wall, is it just parking?

I'm not sure what is behind the wall... presumably it is parking for condo owners, which seems like it would be a tough hurdle to overcome in terms of making that street area better. I wonder if—temporarily at least—it could have a semi-permanent area on the street for food trucks, and maybe a mural or two on the wall. Like this:

Search "Discover Denver Neighborhoods," especially the PBS series HERE
Search "Denver Greenway" and/or "Platte River Greenway." Maybe start HERE.
Of course "Visit Denver" has a number of good videos too. Still the Best.

It really does look good...denver could use more black or white buildings...certainly better than one of the early renderings...

Navy dude, that's because someone at the city finally decided it was time to spend money on tourism advertising.

TakeFive, Navy's originally from here, I think he knows where to find those videos...he was just shocked he actually saw a tourism video on his TV

The upper part is near black, but the bottom part is not what I would call black, its a dark brown that is lighter than what that shadowed pic shows...but regardless it's darker than most other buildings around except the Park Central building on 15th and Lawrence.

I like it. A mirrored contrast to its Doppelganger SugarCube neighbor a block northwest.

Anyone want to share some info on "19th & Wewatta Luxury Apartments." Permit is only file with the city but that is all the info I have.

It looks like Cityscape has the inside scoop of a multi-building apartment complex with 198 rooms on the corner of 17th and York - right across from City Park. It has taken a few queues from City Block in Uptown, apparently. Good looking project!

Yeh thats been in the works for a while. Hopefully it will happen. It's a Shea project so who knows. It would be a big improvement for that intersection based on what's currently there.

That link just takes us to the "check permit" page. Do you have the development plan number?
