There's spots on Scotsman hill where The Bow is completely blocked already.

You're right -- perhaps my word choice was a bit harsh

. Just a lot of stuff clustered into one area, though not in a bad way.

Just figured out the pano feature on my new phone - damn a few days late. The views on top of the Hyatt are epic.

I wish more buildings, particularly in the core, would be more thoughtful about what they look like from above. Certainly most of the towers are designed to integrate / hide HVAC and other mechanicals, but lower rise buildings often do not. Classic minimalist designers have pushed the bounds of this, but we have few leaders in this area in Calgary.

On some days, I like the SEC better than the Bow. Certainly not as much glass and with much more focus on local granite (not necessarily a bad thing), but the slender profile is exceptional. Much more movement in the podium also.
