Here's a really cool aerial video of Landsdowne during the Redblacks-Argos game. It's enough to give you chills.

From the air you can really see the difference endzone seating would make. It would go a long way towards making the north side look less isolated. I think that continuity would make all the difference.

Let's get the Grey Cup out here and test that theory!

Agreed! Particularly on the endzone opposite the scoreboard.

Looking forward to attending my first CFL game against SK in a few weeks.

That's pretty awesome! Thanks for posting this. I recall seeing a drone in the background of some of the shots as I watched the opening commentary on TV. I suspect this video was taken by said drone since the rotations in the video aren't super smooth.

Anyway, that veil looks pretty amazing all lit up at night!

What about those grassed hills on either end. Is there any reason people couldn't sit on those?

Is there any reason why we couldn't just do it right and construct some proper seating? Just think of it as refurbishing the existing grassed hills if that makes it more fiscally palatable.

Has there been some feedback in regards to the first few rows of the south side of which some forumers were complaining about a few weeks ago due to a potentially obstructed view?

The grass will be refurbished in due time, since this is the only term you want to grasp.

My apologies to aerialphotographs.ca for butchering their image (and let me know if you would like me to take it down).

I did a very quick and rough mock-up of what the stadium would look like with seats behind the West end zone (although I would think that if they were to put end zone seats in, the East side would be first).

As indicated by many people in this thread and the Canadian Stadiums thread, seating the end zones really does make the stadium look more complete.

With end zone Seating:

Another scoreboard may be in order. Can you say cricked neck?

Has anyone heard this complaint from someone who has actually sat anywhere in the stadium?

In fairness, I think he's commenting on the 'shopped photo and how end-zone seats, where depicted, would have a very uncomfortable view of the scoreboard ... to say the least.

Another scoreboard would definitely be in order if OSEG put seats in the west end zone. That's why I mentioned OSEG would probably put seats behind the east end zone first. That is, if they decide not to put seats behind both end zones during the same theoretical renovation.

To be honest, from being at all (2) of the official sporting events that have taken place at TD place, and from speaking to people who have been at these events, it is a little weird that there aren't any other scoreboards throughout the stadium. I don't feel that they need another screen at this point, but it would be nice to have the score and a game clock somewhere else in the stadium. The east end zone would probably make the most sense.

Jumping to conclusions, sure...It's not like you have a history of complaining about every other thing in relation to this stadium. Imagine anyone thinking you might be critical about some other aspect of it now. Pardon me, I thought we were still dealing in reality and not mythical seats.

Apology accepted. And hey, lighten up a bit.

As I said in my post on the last page, you can see this scoreboard fine from the Northside. I was sitting approx Goal to 5 yard line on the east side, and had to turn my neck a bit but visibility was OK. I would much prefer if they had a simple scoreboard with time, score, yards-to-go behind the east endzones.
