Summer has not yet started on Mount Baker. The road up the mountain is still several meters below snow and will perhaps open in couple of weeks. Photos from yesterday and more can be found in here.

Few photos along the Horseshoe Bend Trail on our way to Mount Baker.

Scenery is getting more alpine as we go higher...

This is where the road ends before they manage to open rest of it. Mount Baker received 15 meters (623 inches) on snow this past season.

Panorama on the way back featuring Mount Shuksan.

Some photos I took yesterday on the Hollyburn Mountain hike. My apologies for the large download size, I upgraded my default photo size.

The trail up is a bit challenging at few places.

At the top of Hollyburn Mountain (1324m).

Bowen Island below.

Cypress Mountain ski center is right below..

Grouse Mountain ski center on the other side.

City from above. It was a warm and hazy day in Metro Vancouver.

Backcountry mountains still have some snow.

Yeah, I love it as well. It got glazed over on the Canada section of the forum again, but keep posting Klazu!

Thanks guys. I wasn't surprised that some random Montreal Flickr photos overtook this in the Canada forum, but I will keep posting there.

Being a perfectionist, I am not totally happy with the sharpness of these photos. The moon shot is is hand held, but the second one is taken with a tripod. It's just that Metrotown is far from Downtown and it was windy on the roof. I will strive for an even better shot when I buy a new zoom lens this fall. But in meanwhile: thanks!

North Vancouver on Sunday evening.

I took the Seabus for the very first time and enjoyed the spectacular view of the North Shore Mountains behind me.

Thanks guys, enjoy. I am only trying to find some new/unseen/rare angles for my photos. I leave the more regular project updating to people better at that.

Blech, cloudy days don't do my 'hood any favours. Great pics though (all of them that you've ever posted). Lions Gate Hospital looks so close to the shore in that last one, but it's on 14th.

I love your photos Klazu. Sometimes I wish you'd walk down Hastings from Victory Square to Clark and photograph us the whole thing
