I'd love to see a CN-style tower clad in glass. Any exist? That are so tall and thin but glass?

Gorgeous pics, BTW.

The more of this I see, the more I'm falling in love with TO:

https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5508/...5cc6002d_b.jpg

It's the same eclectic happiness that I love about here, but on a more muscular scale.

And this is great. Hideous architecture but lovely atmosphere:

Around Vancouver as seen from 150 meters above Downtown. Some very unique angles of the city here.

Port of Vancouver.

Harbour Center revolving restaurant and observation deck. Vancouver icon.

Vancouver's center of gay life is Davie Village. The painted rainbow above Sandman Suites hotel is a recent addition.

A bit closer.

Davie Street and the "famous" Rainbow Crosswalk.

Next door is West End. Here is the only full block of old wooden heritage houses.

There is a street market every Saturday in front of the houses.

On the other side of the False Creek is Kitsilano. Here is Museum of Vancouver.

Kitsilano has some great beaches, but also a popular public pool. Photo taken on low tide.

Further up is the UBC peninsula. Spanish Banks is the longest stretch of one single beach in Vancouver (me thinks).

Back in Downtown. A never-seen-before angle.

From a bit higher up.

Capitol Residences a.k.a. "Playstation3 Building".

Last a small peek at the Vancouver Public Library.

This view of The Jameson (designed by Mr. Foster). The Exchange Tower will soon block this view.

Hope you enjoyed! More to follow.

D'aww.

But to me, this shit is what TO is all about. Little funky, eclectic, messy, druggy, kinda dirty, warm, chill, sometimes trashy, sometimes swanky. Not always nice looking and definitely not grand, but whatever, it's cool. Ironically though, pretty much the opposite of what it's supposed to be according to the rest of the world anyway. Kool Maudit gets it. Rousseau gets it. My fellow Torontonian forumers get it, but otherwise it seems lost on most people. Hell, even the shit I usually post is...something else. Looks pretty, but isn't really a genuine shot into the city. Well, that's at least one side of the city I guess, among a bunch of others, but I love em all anyway.

But don't worry, before y'all think I'm being a myopic homer, I've never met a city or a country that I didn't like at least a little bit. The things that make one place great can usually be found elsewhere, and at the same time, there's always something unique about a place. Everywhere is pretty cool. Even Montreal and St. John's and Calgary and everywhere else all you lovable, miserable cunts call home.

Well, except post-1960s suburbia. That can all fuck itself.

Ugh. This is why you don't post at 5 am after a night of "partying".

Amazing collection up there as always though David. So dreamy.

For inner city (but not downtown) Toronto pics I'm almost always thinking 'what part of Hamilton is that?' for the first few moments.

My setup consists of two Canon EOS bodies, four L-series lenses and some miscellaneous stuff. These ones have been taken with Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM and Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM.

That last set of St.John's was very sexy. Love the colors and the smiles.

Wow, I'm glad you think so. Especially someone from Montreal.

I find it's a mixed bag here, in terms of what outsiders think. My favourite review I've heard was that British guy who said all the women here have faces like angels but they're "a bit hard on the pavements".

Denscity thought there were lots of beautiful girls, loved all the leg they show, and loved that the chunkier girls still generally dressed trendy.

Ayreonaut thinks we're an island of fat, hideous monsters. Exaggerating, he just thinks beautiful women are fewer and farther between here than in most cities. His roomie from Ottawa agrees, but is dating a local girl.

Copes, from Nova Scotia - thank God for Copes - loves them. "If you ever get the chance to entertain a Newfoundlander, I highly recommend it."

A few scenes from the gay bar last Saturday, emphasis on the girls, only two... four?... of whom are actually men:
