Is that what happened to the concierge? My friend who lives in the building kept complaining about the concierge being a waste of money as all he does was surf the internet and rarely greets people coming in or even establish eye contact. Guess when you have active residents who are owners, things get done.

Not greeting anyone or establishing eye contact? That's how the pretentious tenants behave with everyone, so why should he act any differently?

The top of the capitol was lit up tonight. Hopefully it stays that way.

The oblivious, useless, movie watching concierge who sits in the lobby of Capitol is still at his post. xD

Ah, the memories I have in that building. What a strange, strange place.

Pardon a sociological digression, but that seems to be how most people react to most people, rich, poor, condo dwellers or not. It's a snobbish world, sadly.

The cap is lit tonight - but it only looks like half of it and it's really dim.

Also, a new square sign was hung under the awning on Seymour reading "Orpheum Annex". It's all black except for the wording - looks good.

We need a full body shot at night (or even better, a few) to get a better sense of that lit roof.

From my office, I can only see half the crown - that's why it only looked half-lit the other night.
The window washing supports seem to be permanently in the "up" position.

That's a damn ugly building. Designed by architects with ADD.

I noticed that you can see the lighted roof from the south end of the Burrard Bridge - but it looks patchy (the lights aren't bright enough).

The base of this tower is horrible because of the concert hall, but I think it gets otherwise way too little recognition as it has some nice angles. These here are of course never seen by most of the people, but also on street level it has some nice precense.
