I saw on "epopros" that the height was 630 feet, so I replied to them that it was now 730 feet and sited the FMC website as an authority

I saw those two booms when I was near the site on 76 over weekend. It definitely seems things are getting serious now. Ironically, all this happens just as the crane for EVO was removed in a clear sign that building is close to being completed.

p.s they're going hard on site. Another pile driver has arrived and I believe they have started drilling.

Essentially yes, but they're technically two different towers that share an adjoining party wall. Similar to row homes. Many highrises in NYC are actually side by side connected to each other and share party walls.

Haha. I had no idea about the renaming! I was only going off information on Emporis. Harnwell is the best if you say so

They really should. Two high profile construction project like this should have web cams.

Thanks! I've bolded the new towers. Also good to note that 5 years ago, there was no Cira Centre and the three tallest buildings in UC were barely 300 feet. In a few years, there will be eight buildings over 300 feet! This includes two in the 400 ft range and one of the top 10 tallest in the entire city! Plus, not in your top 10 list but still worthy of mention: Lancaster Sq at 279 ft and 38th and Chestnut at 278 ft, both of which are under construction.

But won't these two towers be interconnected--allowing free passage between them on most, if not all, floors--and not just sharing a common party wall? Essentially a single L-shaped tower? That's what I had been assuming.

Do you mean like Liberty 1 and Liberty 2, or less/more connected then those?

MORE connected, as in virtually every floor (as opposed to just the lower atrium/mall of Liberty Place). That's been my assumption about the entire Perelman/Smilow/Jordan/etc. complex, i.e., that it will all be interconnected on the interior as, in effect, one giant--albeit rambling--building. But I could be wrong about that, although I don't understand why they'd isolate one tower from the other, when it appears that they'll join together to make an "L."

Perhaps GarCastle, who I believe works for Penn Medicine and has some inside info on this, will check in and provide some insight.
