Anyone know why 430 N Michigan is still listed on the database as proposed? i thought it was confirmed that The Realtors decided to not go ahead with the plan.

The design is nice, I don't like how they are the same height, think it would look better if you added 20 or 30 floors to 1 of them.

Those renders floated around here a while ago. I think it was proposed as an alternate building for Related Midwest when they had their mitts on the land.

there is a little more fencing around the old multi-story deck at the NW corner of Hubbard and Rush, and a crewman there today said the thing is coming down. I asked

there's new scaffolding under Wabash on the lower level, and that skywalk has been closed for weeks

hopefully the surface lot won't expand while they decide what to do with it

I think i saw another render for a two tower development where one tower was a bit higher, but nothing really stood out. i hope the spire developer can get the financing for that thing, it would do wonders for the skyline.

Good news for the site? with the trump being there that lot could handle a really tall building. the question is if a developer wants to build something that big. it all depends if the space is needed, condo or office.

Somebody posted a two tower 1000 footer, and a 900 footer a while ago on the spire thread, looked like something from Miami. Also the last article on Crain's mentioned a july 1st court date for the spire, anything on that.

Well according to there website the tower has shrunk to 32 stories and 486 ft.. down from 37 stories and 600ft as listed on our first page...

67 floors means we are definitely talking in the 750'-850' range. Another super-slender Park Tower, but with a more competent architect (Stern).

Maybe we'll even get some of the awesome Quebecois precast he's using on 30 Park Place.

^^^ Shit, that's gonna have some height on it, pushing 700'. Maybe a bit over that if RAMS goes for something with a taper or crown (which he probably won't). It will probably have classic Related 8' floor to floor's though and only be like 600' instead. I doubt it will get into the 800' range unless they are going ultra high end condo. I hope you are right though, Streeterville needs at least one tower in the 800' range as it currently plateaus at about 700'.

These are going to be very high end condos (some) with direct lake views over 500 N LSD (although I'd rather have a completely unobstructed view, rather than one over a ~50 story tower), complete with a separate entrance from the apartment component. So I'd expect higher ceilings, although we'll know the exact height soon enough.

No condos are projected to be completed anywhere in the downtown right now with lake views in a high rise (the S. Wabash project is only 15 floors?), and Related knows that, so when delivery comes in about 2 years+, they will have a monopoly on the luxury high rise lake view condo supply. I'd expect these 100 units to sell rather fast, bar any major economic disturbances over the next 2 years.

This is a rare breed of residential building that we haven't seen since Aqua, the elusive 60-70+ floor building, seems like everything over the past four years has been the 30-60 floor range.
