This tower is just fantastic and only going to get better with the crown

Perhaps its an optical illusion but, does the last floor (the one below the steel structure they are erecting on the roof) look like it is a bit taller then the floor(s) below it?

Could be additional height due to thicker beams to support the roof (like a transfer floor being taller).

It is the penthouse floor, which often has higher floor heights.

MNP looks super slim in this aerial.

It is very slim when seen from north, but from south it doesn't look as impressive as the floor plate is so much wider. Overall still a very welcome addition to Downtown and looking forward to the crown taking shape.

Best view of this tower bar none is when headed down West Hastings, and seeing the glass emerge from behind the Marine building.

That is the most appealing feature, not so much the MNP tower, but the visual contrast it has with the Marine building.

Just a slightly different angle and from a bit higher up.

I love how close you can get with your zoom lens. I have Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM zoom lens with an 1.4x extender, but I am a bit further away than you and have a full frame censor. I can't wait for my planned upgrade this fall.

Great photos and always appreciated.

Thanks! I'm just using an old Rebel (with an EF-S 55-250mm lens). I'm thinking of upgrading as well in the fall, and pondering a full frame sensor... pricy, though.

Great shots!
That looks like the sturdiest mechanical penthouse enclosure / rooftop architectural feature we've seen recently built.

Nice! thanks. it's pretty rare that I like a building from every angle but this one does it for me.

here's a neat view
