There was NO construction of a "women's Olympic village", the women athletes were simply housed IN the Chapman Park Hotel in 1932 according to all available sources. I don’t know if a new Chapman Park Hotel was relocated or built after that or if it was expanded (“& Villas”?) or what, but there was already one on Wilshire in 1932.
Gaylord Wilshire can you clear up the Chapman Park Hotel information? A lot of sites list the hotel as being built in 1936.
