I believe Mountain Warehouse is also making an appearance at Lansdowne (as was predicted by David Reevely at the Citizen), based on the following job posting:

Quote:
Our client, a large U.K. based retailer is expanding throughout the U.S & Canada. Sites already open in the Toronto Premium Outlets Mall and in May their 2nd site opens at the Niagara Outlet Mall in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Their 3rd store is planned for late July in Ottawa. My client retails high quality, seasonal, outdoor active wear & accessories for men, women & children. Get on board with a group that already has 170 locations throughout the U.K and Europe and is now planning a major expansion for North America.

While that posting does not indicate Lansdowne as the location, a further search on their website shows a secondary posting:

Quote:
Store Manager - Ottawa
Location: Ottawa
Job Category: Retail and Packaged Goods
Compensation Range: $40,000 - $50,000
Contact: Jeff Canning
416 703 5482 ext. 222

Lansdowne Park...new retail, mixed-use development. JC 05-May-2014 1:08p Bank St & Lansdowne Way, near the Rideau Canal...home of the CFL Ottawa Redblacks, OHL team & NA Soccer team
[Source]

Based on the first posting, Mountain Warehouse, a UK Brand, is the only U.K. store listed in the store directories at both the Toronto Premium Outlets and the Niagara-on-the-Lake Outlets.

Nice. I hadn't seen the veil from that angle yet. Looks pretty sharp.

Those 16 inch centres are missing something. Vinyl siding? At this point why the hell not? Smh

Does anybody know if there will be any other open house events for TD Place? I would love to be able to see it myself.

Just thought of a new style of housing. Frame it and walk away. Then call it world class.

Darn, I'm not a season ticket holder as I'm not a sports fan.

New Lansdowne street names proposed

Carys Mills, Ottawa Citizen
Published on: July 8, 2014, Last Updated: July 8, 2014 6:44 PM EDT

Two new names for streets at Lansdowne — Exhibition Way and Marché Way — have been proposed and will be considered at city council on Wednesday.

The names for private roads were put forward in a motion and approved at planning committee on Tuesday, and a third suggestion is expected soon.

Coun. Jan Harder put forward the motion about the names. New names are needed because there are already streets named Lansdowne, which would be confusing for emergency and other purposes, she said.

Season-tickets holders will get their first look at TD Place Stadium on Wednesday. The Ottawa Redblacks will play their Canadian Football League home opener on July 18.

Those signs look great! Makes the whole thing a lot more real. On a side note, I wonder what they do with old arena/stadium signs? Like the Corel Centre or Scotiabank Place signs. Do they throw them out or does the sponsor keep them in storage in case they can use it again in the future, in whole or in part, on another arena or stadium?

OSMUG's magical thinking transportation management approach assumes an unprecedented level of modal share to cycling, to justify the complete absence of parking onsite at Lansdowne during football games, for ordinary people.

Perhaps they will auction them away for charity? They could also just leave them on the roof like Eaton did at Rideau Centre!!
But they probably just end up disposing them.
