Service rep at Acura told me that Acura, VW and Audi are going on the other side of Malley.

He said the Acura building is an 8M project.

Other side? Do you mean East of Malley?

I understood as if you're facing Malley, Subaru is on the left and Acura etc will be on the right

That's surprising to me, you'd think that the lots along Veteran's Hwy across from the airport would have been more appealing to the dealerships. Maybe cost was a factor, or maybe those lots already belong to someone.

You have sight lines from the Trans-Canada in these lots tho. Malley actualky has the best lot in my opinion!

There's a billboard up at the corner of Olivier and Acadie Ave (next to the Ultramar) for a new 3-storey building. Commercial first floor and residential on the upper levels. Looks like okay quality with some nice larger balconies.

That's now at least 3 buildings proposed for downtown Dieppe this year (2 X 3-storey + 1 X 6 storey). Hopefully they can lease out the space and get started.

The billboard for a fourth proposal (the one further South on Acadie) is down, looks like that one may be shelved for now.

This is another fantastic building for the city, It would be fantastic if they could add more height in Dieppe and towards champlain mall, giving a more connected feel between Moncton and Dieppes downtowns.

I remembered it wrong, it's 5 storeys. But this is the one i mean next to city hall.

Well the old carwash on the corner of Amirault and Chartersville is now gone. A Familiprix will be built at this location. The sign is already up.

Also, work has begun to finally finish the two remaining condo buildings on Primrose ln.

Lots of road work in Dieppe.

Looks like they are realigning Industrial street directly across from Lafrance street making a proper intersection with Champlain.

Also, they are currently widening Dieppe blvd south of Champlain, likely adding turning lanes.

@NBNYer They are realigning Industrielle and LaFrance and placing a set of lights at the intersection with Champlain. The longer-term plan also includes the realignment of LaFrance and Thomas, and the addition of an onramp from Industrielle onto the Veterans Memorial Highway.

Will this be a full interchange or just an on/off ramp like at the GMIA exit? I hope it's a full interchange. If so, will it connect to any of the streets on the Moncton side of Highway 15? There could be some NIMBY issues there as this portion of Moncton East is entirely residential and traffic would be funnelled onto neighbourhood streets. This wouldn't be too popular……

This was posted a few years back. This future road network map for the city of Dieppe has been floating around and recently reposted by DTBourque. It shows the current project realigning Industrielle and LaFrance and the future interchange with Hwy 15. Looks like no linking on the Moncton side, although I'm sure this is just a preliminary drawing.

@MonctonRad If I were to guess, I'd say that on/off ramps coming from and going to Moncton would be the most important. That's also what seems to be reflected in the plan. Anything on the Moncton side wouldn't necessarily be reflected on this plan, though.

It's further down the road (no pun intended), though. My understanding is that's the third or fourth phase. First comes the realignment of Industrielle and LaFrance, then comes the realignment of LaFrance and Thomas with a traffic circle.

Yes, another indication that there might be something afoot is the fact that the above site plan is no longer available on the Cobalt Properties website. I wonder if this could mean that the plans have been changed and/or construction might be imminent……..

Is it too much to ask that the majority of the vehicles in the design be Subarus?

Except for the handful of old WRX hatchbacks in the foreground, there appear to be no other Subarus.

Heard a rumor from a good source that Starbucks is coming to Dieppe blvd next to Jean-Coutu. We'll have to wait and see.
