We all would probably hope something similar would occur, but I'm afraid S.P. could very well be right. Hopefully, the very powerful(CCC) is not fixated on 1st S. as a CCH area essential to the enhancement of their City Creek Center property. The importance of visitor traffic to CCC's future prosperity cannot be overemphasized. That just might include demanding that the CCH have two main doors and that they empty onto both 1st S. and also W. Temple.
Would it be possible to creatively intermingle the CCH and it's diverse requirements on the available plots from Main to W. Temple? This of course must include a tall tower on the corner of 1st S. and W. Temple, but not destroy the Dinwoody or the Arrow Press Building. Could the Dinwoody and the Arrow Press actually become exciting, usuable space for the CCH itself...why not?

Could a multiuse plaza (very linear like citycreek's) get integrated in to the CCH outside for tent setup meetings, and as an extention of the Cascade exit for citycreek, which is honestly underutilized right now and not welcoming- after all, integrating a plaza south of the apartments as sort of an additon to citycreek but still kept separate would help integrate the area with both the southeastern part of the convention center and citycreek (would retail fit there?). What I imagine it is snaking around 50W down to 150 S to a mid block crossing leading in to a covered ped walkway on the SP property, although I need to look at the renderings again to make sure that would be in the right spot(northwest) of the block, not me imagining it where other buildings are.
EDIT: google maps shows that it would likely be possible (although you guys are more informed about the site than me, so if it isn't possible please say so) though the mid block at kilowatt would have to get moved north as from what I remember the kilowatt site is being built in to something.
In addition to the mid block, a bridge across both west temple and 1st south could get build directly from the main entrance of the palace to the northwestern main entrance of the hotel
EDIT::::: I seemed to have misunderstood the previous post. Is the hotel planned for the 1st south and west temple site?
