Love that new Port Mann Bridge. I hated the old one. Not because of its design, but because of the horrible traffic jams. I drove over it twice a day for a couple of years when I lived in Downtown Vancouver and worked in Surrey.

You would probably hate the new one more........$3 each way.

Vancouver has some lovely bridges and although Lion's Gate is beautiful, my favorite will always be Burrard. I love London's old Blackfriar bridge.

Yep. They built this bridge as a donation to the city to commemorate their 50th anniversary.

^Very ordinary looking, I'm afraid. And what, did they finally scrap the LRT integration?

The new provincial government decided to shelve the project.

Though, they seem to have a reserved bus lane which can then be retrofitted to adapt an LRT.

I like the new bridge. It's not flashy, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.

2 New dedicated transit lanes, paved shoulder, bike path and sidewalk. What more could we want?

fuck the liberals and all the politicians of the province, who inspire nothing but bitter vitriol. And their wrists are only good for two things; crossing out important things for Montreal, the other, well you can guess where I'm going with that. I wanted to see that LRT damn it.

Wait. At least we have the room to do in the future. It not like if they totally forgot the space.

It's very timid when see from afar. It would fit well in Trois-Rivieres.

How many lanes is that bridge in Montreal supposed to be? I would imagine 8 at least. Is there going to be any consideration for future expansion?

6 lanes. You can't put 8 lanes or you will cause a traffic bottleneck once you cross the bridge. + 2 lanes for Bus-LRT
