It's very cool in person. The plaza out front isn't the greatest, though it has significantly improved with the opening of The Wonderland(statue), the Starbucks patio, and the addition of food trucks every day. Here's an interesting view of The Bow in the final stage of construction.
Once the trees get a bit taller it will look better I think, still a let down compared to what was proposed. I hope the Brookfield plaza looks as good as the renderings.
I think it will. You see, the difference between the Bow plaza and the Brookfield plaza are that the Bow renders showed what it will look like with fully matured trees and tons of people in it. The Brookfield Plaza shows the same thing, however, this plaza is set to have programming most days of the week I believe, so there will always be something to do, to draw people there... whereas that Bow plaza is just a place to walk through to get somewhere, or to have a coffee or cigarette. The one thing that will be missing at the Brookfield plaza is foot trucks, as 7th Avenue and 1st Street are both too narrow in that area to allow it, as far as I know.

Vancouver on a misty day. This is always my favorite angle of Vancouver. The Credit Suisse Tower and Vancouver's Turn will only make this angle even better.
Great to see some density starting to build north of Adelaide.

Vancouver is absolutely beautifull... I also like the amount of mature trees and green spaces they have in their downtown core. Usually rare for such a dense downtown.
Were the Cal and Edm Peak Aerials taken at the same time? I'm surprised at the yellow land vs green land difference. Edmonton's wetter, I suppose? (Aspen Parkland vs Prairie?)
The south side of Robson is in the West End, and as such, only has a handful of highrises along the entire stretch up to Thurlow.
