It looks like the brick livestock buildings at the fair park are undergoing major renovations. One of them is stripped down to a brick shell.. The roofing, trusses, and all wood has been removed.

Good to hear, as I remember from the news articles a few weeks ago, the legislature was deciding exactly what to prioritize with the fairgrounds. Those buildings really do need to have their gut's replaced.

Also, for the first time in a long time we seem to have run out of pics from the northern reaches of the Wasatch Metro, to the southern reaches. Not unusual for the Ogden area, but Utah Valley/Provo and especially Downtown/Salt Lake Valley it's a bit strange, considering how much is going on. If someone is in the mood to do some quality updates like the good old days when John Martin or T-Mac was around, it would be hugely appreciated. A lot of the projects like Liberty Gateway, The Courthouse, or even Boyer 101 were still a bit of a mess when we last viewed them. I'm wondering what stage the 600 West apartments are at, or the ESA Hotels, and on and on. Is the cool topiary wall on the front of the Lotus evident or even planted yet, etc.? Any more vertical progress on La Porte?

Would any of you guys be interested in divvying out sector assignments, so no one person is stuck with the whole banana? A lot of you take outstanding phone pics.

Wow, how much taller is that parking garage going to be? It looks to be at least five levels with a few more to be added. I thought this thing would top out at five.

That's a good point. In the past I read somewhere that the parking garage would match the one to the south ( both at about five levels ). But clearly from that pic it's already taller then the south garage and it looks like this thing could reach at least 7 or 8 levels just from what I'm seeing. Would make sease for Boyer to add floors to this thing since 151 keeps getting taller plus ( as Orlando already said ) it will also be shared by the housing on 200 East.

Hi everyone! I am posting here for the first time. I live in Orlando, Fl. but have been to your beautiful city and state numerous times. I have not seen a city with a more beautiful backdrop than Salt Lake. I am impressed with your mass transit TRAX system which I know is the envy of many cities. Our local leaders spent a week in SLC visiting with your governor and local leaders studying your mass transit system as a model for other cities. You have a strong and vibrant city and it is only going to get better. Your City Creek Center is just awesome and a great addition to your city. Just please hurry up and get your new airport! It works fine but it seems trapped in the 1970s.

Orlando has lots to learn from your city but you should all still come and visit Harry Potter-Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando. It looks incredible!

If you look at this pic with the most recent height, it looks like it's almost topped out.. Assuming the pic is accurate. I think they finish the level they are on and it will be done.

I work right by this building.. And have great views.. I've already posted some pics of this.. I just figured everyone is tired of seeing parking garage pics... I was going to wait until we see some action on the main structure.

Thanks Orlandopilot for sharing your glowing report with us. Although I live in L.A. right now I'm always anxious to spend time in the Salt Lake City area. Yeah, we're all impatient for the airport to move along with it's new construction. I guess they'll take it in phases. The proposed designs and materials are truly beautiful, so the sooner it's completed the better.
