Composite photo of the students' performance from the commemorative brochure. The striped tent was where the King & Queen sat. The students' performance impressed the Royals enough that the King ordered that all Hamilton schools be closed on Thursday, June 8th, a reward given to no other students in Canada.

1983. Notice the interlocking brick being laid in the intersections, and the shorty green drinking fountain.

Same here. Took the bus downtown, hit the Silver Snail, then on to Record World and Cheapies (which is still there, and hardly changed). Sam the Record Man and Dr. Disc were on the itinerary too when they opened... I think I was in university by that time.

Interesting that the parade is traveling against the regular flow of one-way traffic on King. I'm not sure if thats even allowed for parades any more.

Had to do a double-take to recognize that as King St.

Herkimer Terrace (aka Burlington Terrace) on Herkimer near James. Note the elaborate steps and fences.

The Hyland Theatre at 190 King Street East (King Street East near Walnut Street), capacity for over 900 people

I remember seeing MIDWAY there in Sensurround.
