Dean, your shots of Cira in early evening give a view of how Evo will look at night. I hadn't really thought about it, but being residential, it should provide a bright addition to the night skyline.

Yeah, John, I think it will look very cool at night. Interested to find out if there will be any lighting on the building.

But it needs FMC to balance it out. There's just nothing "interesting" about EVO (maybe the cladding, but that's about it.) It doesn't have the angled sides that Cira has, or the dramatic height that FMC has.

It's a fine enough looking building, and will look great as filler between the bookends, but if it had to exist by itself next to Cira, then I think opinions of it might be different because it just doesn't share the majority of the same qualities that the latter has, and wouldn't make a good "bookend".

I guess that's why it's not a "bookend." It's also smaller and for residential use. The cladding is very nice and the building fits it's footprint very well. For the area that it occupies I believe they did a fun design and when the slope is cladding and the rooftop pool is installed I will enjoy some great views of it.

Of the pool? Or of those sitting beside the pool?

By "set", I meant with FMC. Though I disagree that it has no interesting features. I like the dramatic slope of the roof and generally think its a very nice looking building in its own right.

On the Philadelphia subreddit, this image from one of the workers on the crane was posted the other day. I didn't see it in this thread so I thought I would share it with you all.

The view from this building and the rooftop deck/pool is going to be untouchable in Philly.

So looking at this picture, this may sound stupid, but is the parking lot looking thingy to the right of the Evo that grass/parkish concourse that will connect Evo to FMC as seen in some renderings. Or did they change plans?

Yes. The green space will be on top of the structure.

With Evo almost done and FMC on the way, they need to seriously do something about those weedy trees sprouting out of the embankments.
