Nice.

Thanks.

You can see that big shiny HVAC unit from the street. From the model, it looks like it'll be covered up by louvres (with solar panels above).

There's also a staircase in the protruding part that looks cool, although the rounded landings may be out of place.

Pics by me today:

Floors being installed in the podium.
I wonder if the glass on the rest of the podium will match the glass on the Richards side (i.e. with the 4 prong clamps)?
I guess it will have to on the Seymour protruding part - hopefully the rest in between will too.

Or maybe not...

VanCity Buzz takes a tour of the Telus Garden office building:

http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2014/06/b...letion-photos/

The view from the rooftop patio of the 4-storey sky garden.
http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2014/06/b...letion-photos/

The services are under the floors, but it looks like the ceilings will remain unfinished (?).
The fire sprinkler heads are above the pipes, meaning there won't be a drop ceiling - at least on this floor.
That's a bit odd for an office tower, isn't it?
Maybe that's Amazon "high tech" space and they want an industrial look? Do the ceiling heights look low?
I wonder if Bull, Housser & Tupper (law firm) will have the same finishes?

The 12th floor with its raised flooring nearing completion.

Pic by me today -
Hard to tell from the pic, but the opaque cladding on the protruding box looks reflective
- so I think it's glass spandrel (could be shiny aluminum though)

Pics by me today:

Looks like operable windows at the top of the protruding cube:

The soffits (?) appear to clad in glass. Security camera already installed.

Steel up for receiving the wooden arches, I think (?):

...and more soffits and another camera:

That is quite the unique angle, I actually had trouble orientating myself.

Nice shot.
The angle really highlights the difference in colour of the facades.

Very cool angle of the city! Nice touch that the Vancouver Sun building is perfectly framed.

My not nearly as cool shot from yesterday:

the telus office building is so much shorter than the buildings around it. Why did they decide on such a short building in vancouver, yet choose to develop such a tall building in calgary where telus isn't even headquartered.

Probably more demand for AAA office space in Calgary? It's not like they're going to occupy either of the buildings fully.

Telus Garden in Vancouver is connected to the exitsing Telus Building which has a lot of physical telecommunications infrastructure that would be moved - so the adjacent site is a natural choice.
That site is limited by different view cone height limits on each end of the block - and each is being built to the max height allowed.

The sun was shining from the wrong angle for these photos, but nonetheless here are few more photos from past weekend. First two are taken from 150 meters above the street level. Enjoy.

The third one is taken from a completely another roof.
