ZR Auto calls it an MC12 Corsa, though I'm not sure they are the most trustworthy source, I could see them embellishing a bit to create hype.

They also call their bastardized Enzo a "ZXX", which is neither true nor false, but simply made up... Calling it a "Corsa" is either their own little name for it that happens to coincide with the name of Maseratis actual race version, or misleading. Either way, not the most accurate descriptor of this particular car.

Anyone going to see the car show outside Cardel homes in Quarry Park? Last year the owner of Cardel brought out his Porsche Carrera GT.

I'll be there and there'll be a lot of really special cars this year. Anyone interested in cars should make an effort to be there...

Ah, that looks pretty interesting, I'll have to check it out. I find most car shows around here tend to have a emphasis on the "American muscle and hot rods" stuff, which I personally am not a fan of, so it's nice to see more exotic/euro stuff.

It's a little late in the season, but there's always a good turn out of Euro stuff at the C&C Tuesday nights at the Marda Loop Safeway... Carrera GTs, 599GTOs, F40s, F50s and this week, the actual Ferris Bueller California Spyder... Starts at 7, weather permitting.

Oh wow, is that this upcoming week, or the Tuesday that just past? I'm pretty sure even my wife would love to see that.

I've always meant to go to the C&C's here, but haven't yet. I'm part of the PCA here, and they always have some nice cars on hand. I heard the Classic Car meet in Lindsay Park in July was pretty nice too, although I wasn't in town for that one.

It was this past Tuesday... If you hurry, it's on display at the Simmons building right now. Otherwise, I think it'll be at Quarry Park on Saturday.

There's always a few treats at the Tuesday night shows, and ofter it's different from week to week. We're lucky that those local owners with multiple awesome cars like to share

By far the car with the most kids around (and in) it.

More shots on my Flickr if interested...

We had a great time...there are some fantastic cars in this city (although you don't have to go to a car show to see that).

Too bad I was hung over yesterday as I was planning on going to this. Was the Carrera GT there at all? I see the President of CArdel had his Ford GT there, and I think the Gallardo might have been his as well.

Nope, I didn't see a Carrera GT there (not as many Porsches as one would think actually...I noticed more in the parking lot than there were in the show). Hopefully next year someone pulls out a 918.

There was a Gallardo or two there, but that Lambo gets a bit lost in the crowd so I didn't bother with that one...it's funny how certain cars recede into the background when you stick them all together. The Aventador on the other hand was beautiful... I love that car from the back especially.

The President of Cardel is supposed to have a Carrera GT, that's why I was expecting it to be there. Thanks for the pictures, looked like a great collection of cars.

hi there,

new to Calgary, need to get oil change and car safety check and possibly and most likely safetied to transfer my license.

looking for a good garage in the city. I used to go to midas back at home, but seen some bad reviews from the one near my place. just wondering if theres any recommendations.

while im at it, any recommendations for car insurance places as I heard they are all private here, while back in Winnipeg it was through the government.

thanks in advance.

Welcome to the city, and forum (well the Calgary part anyway)!

Oil changes and such, anyone can do. Mr. Lube is fine if you don't drive a sports car. Garages in general I'm not good for, sorry.

As for insurance - welcome to private insurance! If you have a CAA membership, go check out AMA. They've got damned good rates and they're handy because you can get your plates and insurance at the same place - just like you were used to back home. Otherwise you have to get your plates and insurance at separate places. Beyond that, shop, shop, shop around. Get quotes from 3-5 places at least. You didn't give age/driving record or anything, so if you're young (under 25) or have any blemishes on your record, shop around a LOT. You can save hundreds, even thousands of dollars.

What part of the city are you in, and what kind of car do you have?
