^^^ Yeah, I could be totally wrong, but something tells me that at least the general layout of the geometry is accurate. I'm sure the angles and dimensions of the frustrums are totally different than what I drew, but if it really is stacked frustrums in a tripple bundled tube, that's the only way you could do it.
When it comes to the elevator thing, what you'd probably have to do is make the two side sets of frustrums broader (i.e. more rectangular pyramids than the square ones I pictured) so that they could "overlap" with the middle structure.

Yes, I'm sure my sketch exaggerates all the angles, I intentionally exaggerated the shapes because it would emphasize the general massing which is what I was trying to show. I highly doubt anything as geometrically adventurous as this would ever actually get built, but I can see a similar scheme with more gentle undulations being what Gang is going for.
Makes me wonder why she wouldn't do the same thing, but with upside down frustums stacked on each other like three piles of chinese takeout boxes? Then the environmental justification would be more sound.
