I will never live in a windowless bedroom again! I did for a winter (in Calgary), and it was the most depressing 6 months of my life! Windowless bedrooms should be banned (I don't know why planning departments let this pass and why developers think that's ok to even build floor plans like that).

They shouldn't be banned. If people want to pay for them, then so be it. I personally would never pay for a bedroom or pretty much any room (except bathroom or laundry room) without a window in a condo. But they shouldn't be banned, that's absurd.

All the heritage loft conversions in Yaletown proper (between Mainland and Hamilton) have interior windowless bedrooms (with glass partitions, doors or barn doors).

looks like only the 1-bedroom or the corner unit 2-bedroom are the ones to go

Nope. Its just a room with panels and breakers for the whole floor in it, or whole zone depending on how they lay out the system.

Don't see how this could possibly matter, its not a room often visited or worked in.

Are they taking reservations or have they started sales yet? haven't been to the presentation centre for a couple of weeks.

It's Rennie Marketing. I think you'll know when they are going on sale.

Brentwood just received 3rd reading on Monday. They do not have final adoption yet and no disclosures yet. it will follow very shortly. That being said, its marketed by Rennie. So doesn't matter if you are a "VIP" pre-registrant as there will be units quietly sold before the "grand" opening. the actual insiders & Rennie agents get first crack at the best units.

I see that they have fenced off the area around the old IHOP. There was a notice put up in buildings around the area that they will be starting to demolish that area of the mall very soon.

I really like the cabinetry in this project. So slick the way they have integrated the European fridges right into the cabinets.

Seems like Shape Living partnered up with Royal Bank of Canada to provide 3.25% 5-year fixed mortgage rate deal after the completion of the building. If the interest rates are actually lower within 120 days prior to the final closing, I will also be able to get the lower rates. Based on these, this seems like a risk-free deal for buyers.

To me, this sounds too good to be true... How does this actually work??? What's the catch???

Holy crap would you buy something all ready. Maybe we can keep this thread more about updates about this development versus detailing your journey through a real estate transaction. You can start a new thread for that

Looks more like a poorly disguised realtor/sales pitch.

I concur, give it a break. You should like the worst presentation centre employee ever and I've met lots of terrible ones. If you are infact a prospective purchaser then contact the sales center to answer your mundane questions or at least post in the appropriate thread.

Just for reference 3.25% for 5yrs is not that great, I gotten more then .5% off that rate on a fixed term and with all fees waived just this month on an investment property, on a personal property I could've gotten another 1/4 point knocked off. Shop around.
