Pics by me today.

Spandrel above the future Nordstrom entrance (entrance looks fairly narrow, too).
Strange that the anchor points for the awning above the entrance look smaller than those along the rest of the Granville frontage.
Compared to the model, also looks like they have removed or reduced the amount of stone cladding at grade on Granville and replaced it with windows.

Hoardings are down along Granville.
Looks like the glass at the rotunda entrance will protrude from the stone facing above it.

So looking at the rendering, it looks like there will be a free-standing glass "fin" that overlaps with the stone cladding on the facade at the rotunda entrance. But the model (which could be older) does not show that - it shows a prime pigeon roosting ledge.

Good eye OD, the design shown in the rendering is more accurate, and much better IMO.

With regards to the stone, it should be more grey than sandstone, but you never really know how it will look until it is up.

The rotunda entrance cladding is consistent with the rest of the Nordstrom cladding:

Another of the north atrium:

From above, it also looks like another floor of cladding is being added to the protruding section on Howe.

So will there be a Microsoft sign on top of the building in place of the Pacific Centre one?

That hardly makes sense. The renderings, published long after the Nordstrom deal was complete, would almost certainly depict Nordstrom signage there too:

In addition to the northwest corner, place holder corporate signage is depicted exactly where the Pacific Centre signage is in the following video by Cadillac Fairview (@ 1 min, 32 sec):

Nice, thanks!

Looks like they'll have the varied width and staggered arrangement like on the model.
I don't see any grain or variation in colour on the stone.

With Microsoft being a major tenant a few digital signs would be nice....

Digital signage would cheapen this building.

Dundas Square is one of the tackiest places in Canada. I don't think we need anything like that.

I do appreciate its clean design, but based on its location, a few bells and whistles on the Granville and Robson sides would do wonders. It might be tacky to some, but I appreciate some TV screens and unique lighting effects. Helps liven things up. Especially at night.

There's no microsoft store in pacific centre, right? I wonder if one of the tenants below will be a microsoft shop.
