And by looking at the renderings it looks like they will be using cylinder concrete supports for the building which is interesting, instead of just I beams. Unless there going to put interior covers around them.

Site of FMC as of today thanks to Lincolndrive!

They took down only half of the metal grating along the structure facing the train tracks.

Would imagine we would see some heavy machinery on site this upcoming week

They're taking down the rest of the metal grating today on the structure facing the tracks and removing the rocks from the top of it.

Yes, I totally agree. In fact, if you look at some of the renderings where it is placed in the skyline, the perspective makes it look taller than BAT(three Logan) which is 739 ft. It's true, a building by itself looks taller than it being clustered in the mass. But even the design makes it look taller too. And lastly, the elevation from which it is going to be built, is on higher ground than center city. WOW.....I AM GETTING SO EXCITED! (Philly Fan, not a word!

Not sure who is capable of drawing the building diagrams for this site, but isn't the FMC diagram way off under the Philly Building Diagram page? It should be virtually the same height as Three Logan Sq (Bell Atlantic Tower), no? Just was curious.

Other than the addition of CITC, it doesn't look like there has been much updating of Philadelphia's diagram. Several newer buildings are missing, as well as some under construction. I wish I had that level of talent to do it!

This is gonna turn into another waiting game isn't it? This is killing me. Especially since there hasn't been any new on the CITC on top of this. Kind makes me wish I didn't find out about these awesome buildings until they we're actually being built.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna occupy my waiting time with now since the Evo is pretty much complete as far as height goes. I need more buildings. Moooooore!

Won't have much longer to wait on this one. They were removing the final pieces of the metal grating and clearing the rest of the rocks off of the top of the structure when I walked by earlier. I would imagine we will see heavy machinery on site this week.

As for CITC, it starts next month. Not much longer to wait in that one either.

Summers, do you know if they will be working in tandem with the underground concourse connection and foundation work of CITC or underground concourse connection first before foundation work of CITC? Thanks!

I would assume foundation work for CITC and the construction of the underground concourse will happen in tandem.

I would say we have actually had a pretty short wait on FMC and CITC - often proposals can take years to come to fruition, if ever.

^ Thats a great point, I mean how long did it take for 1 Liberty to be built, or hell the first comcast tower, because that one seemed to have a few different variations over the years.

Keep in mind that CITC was (although by a different company) originally proposed in 2008 as the American Commerce Center. Liberty bought the lot in 2012. So I guess you could say the current iteration of 1800 Arch has been 2 years in the making.

Cira Centre South has been floating around since at least 2006, so that has been quite a while in the making.

Nothing yet but the site is prepped. I'd surprised if heavy machinery didn't show up sometime early next week.
