This is a picture from at least 2012. I can tell because 2116 Chestnut, 2040 Market, Drexel LeBow and Chestnut Square are not in the pics. So I wouldn't expect them to put in renderings of buildings that don't exist yet if they pic doesn't even feature buildings that do exist! Haha!

this building is going to be sick! While not as tall as CTIC, I definitely like the design better. From that rendering, it looks to be around 700'.

Looks pretty great in that rendering. It is going to have a huge impact on the skyline, in some ways even more than CITC.

Yea, too bad it was never built in West Philly near UPenn - the stadium's view would be similar to what they have in Seattle w/the Seahawks.

Why should we, when it turned out SO MUCH BETTER?

I'll take a world-class Ivy League research university campus and medical complex--which happens to be THE largest private employer in the City of Philadelphia and one of its most significant engines of present and future economic development--over yet another downtown ballpark ANY day of the week.

Uhmm, ok but its not like Penn would have up and moved if the ballpark located there. It's not a case of one or the other. Penn would still have grown and required additional space and the ballpark likely would have attracted additional development on its own given the proximity to center city and university city.

Why is it so hard for the dead horse beaters club to get this?

What Penn develops here will be far more important than a kitschy baseball stadium, tailgaters, and people 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 excess Coors Light against the walls of nearby buildings.

It is worth mentioning to the DHBC that FMC selected this site for its proximity to a major research institution and the urban amenities (current and future) that appeal to tech graduates. Not sporting events.

It is convenient to imagine a baseball stadium across from FMC, but that assumes FMC would have found the location as appealing with a stadium across the street. Not necessarily true. There is little synergy between baseball 5 months a year and chemical engineering.
