That extra hole by the ramp must be where the sump is going. They're going to need a big one for that pit!

WOW. They look like little toys. Next time I ride the train through there I'm going to imagine 7th Ave "pulling a Baltimore". Is all this dirt going to the pile by Bow Trail & Crowchild? Does anyone know what causes the colour change part way down?

I'm pretty sure that pile is snow from the street removal this year. There is another huge one down south and a big one just south of 32nd avenue NE before Fox Hollow golf course.

Could someone post a link to the webcam?

Also, it looks pretty certain that the smaller hole they are digging just next to the ramp in the NW corner is for sewage or whatever you call it? Septic tank?

If that hole is the NW corner is a sump, why are they filling it with concrete?

From what I can see in the webcam and what I saw in person, they aren't filling it with concrete.

If you check the webcam right now, they are using an excavator to swing big buckets of concrete from the truck to the pit.

Oh I see! Well if that's the case, maybe they are just prepping a stable foundation on which to place the sump hardware? I dunno

The sump would be concrete lined, I believe in this case it's for parkade drainage rather than ground water removal as it would be in residential construction.
