Vibe: Battery is ridiculous. They should call it something like The Vibe on Preston (I know it's on Carling), The Vibe at Preston, or The Vibe at Dows if they want to keep the 'vibe' in their name.

Vibe is also the name of one of the two Lansdowne towers - this city isn't that big, you don't have the start repeating names yet.

Why wouldn't they go with a water theme - Aqua, Lake Towers, or even Lovewill Terrace Apartments (the last one is not water related, I know, but there are few opportunities where I could use that name)

Vibe + Battery = sex toy

I think that name was a mislabel on the Graziani Corazza website, they have since been referring to it as "Carling and Preston"

Balconies fine with me.

My present balcony has a concrete wall (old rental building). When I sit down I cannot see the Ottawa River. So that is a poor design. I look forward to my new condo (when it gets built) as it will have a glass wall I can see through and enjoy the view.

In the meantime, I have experimented with some success in growing tomatoes, red and green peppers on my balcony and plan to do the same at my new condo. works for me.

They should call it Dow 55 as a reference to the number of floors (also the name of a lubricant)

And if there's an outdoor viewing platform, they need to call it the NAS : DECK

Do you also plan on putting your bicycle on your balcony.

I don't. If it is, it will take almost a decade before they sell the units and start construction.

So, not a good choice if one wants to move in in a few years I take it. Nuovo seems to have a much better chance of being built soon.

That would be my choice if I wanted to move into that area.

Not sure what sales are like (or what the freakin plan is) for Soho Italia.

Right now you can only register for Soho Italia. They have not started selling yet, will launch in the summer.

They posted an update yesterday with more sales, but seemed to have removed it. It was something like 45ish out of 320. The occupancy date was changed to Fall 2017 instead of August 2017.

The 735 sq ft 2-bedroom is an interesting design, they usually don't make 2 bedrooms that small. I guess they could be marketed as "get a roommate to help pay the mortgage"

Mortgage helpers are huge out west. Closer to home, I hear more and more about people letting out their extra room with Airbnb, too.
