Maybe not. I think of the CIBC Building in Montreal, the TD Centre in Toronto, and Tour de La Bourse in Montreal when I think International Style (among many other examples, of course)

i.e. international style is not "sleek" and does have prominent mullions and spandrel panels.

Pls excuse my confusion and ignorance.
But tell me please, what are the hallmarks of the international style, if you will?

TD Centre definitely (with the exclusion of 95 Wellington Street and, arguably, the Ernst & Young Frankentower).

Walked by and the fins look fine in real life. I can imagine them driving the glazing team crazy, though, as there are so many angles and layers to consider. I know I would go crazy with that job.

Two different perspectives from today. This tower will be part of the skyline, just not that visible part of it.

Well isn't that just a lovely tabletop.

Thanks for sharing.

I think that this is one building that has struck the right chord with nearly all Vancouverites.

Looking tall, having lots if reflective glass and devoid of protruding balconies.... Who wouldn't love it?

The table-topping effect on the skyline is, however, very unfortunate.

^^ Very true, but thanks to the powers that be, the table-top has become a hallmark of Vancouver.

Great snapshots. Thanks. The vertical fins do wonders for the appearance of the flaring glass above the building's main entrance.

Not yet complete, but, with the accompanying Marine Building, already destined to become a Vancouver classic, it seems.

What a fantastic tower. The flared portion at the bottom looks a lot better now that it is more complete in the last set of pictures.
