It's called the Calgary Tower, and yes its's pretty popular. Costs about $16 to go up, plus there is a nice restaurant with a revolving floor. I've been up twice in the two years I've lived here, never to the restaurant yet though. The tower offers amazing views of the city, the surrounding prairie to the east, and the foothills and rocky mountains to the west. It also has a glass floor section. Here are two semi-skyline images I took not too long ago from the tower with just my simple point and shoot digital camera...

Edmonton's skyline is really going to change over the next 5-10 years! Hopefully.

^ My favourite is the second one I posted. The skyline does look quite imposing from there but it since it doesn't have the river valley in it I find that that angle tends to get overlooked.

We should definitely see some changes with the City of Edmonton tower, Kelly Ramsay tower, Ultima, and Fox 1 all in the ground this year.
