Video from today showing the supports for the platform roof at Lougheed. Definitely disappointing to see such a stark mismatch of style between the platforms

Also, video from today leaving Lougheed which shows the concrete elevator supports.

Thanks for the videos -
The canopy looks like a bus shelter. They should have at least made the edge jagged like the old canopy.

The second video also shows the route west of the station that the Coquitlam-bound trains will take to get to the third platform.

To be fair they'd have a point. That is a very sorry looking shelter, and I actually think it's the exact same one they use for bus stops.

This is pissing me off, would it really have costed that much more money in the grand scale of things to finish the Lougheed Station roof as per the original design???

On the bright side, maybe it'll make for an easier direct connection to the platform from whatever Lougheed complex will be built there in the future.

The station straddles a major road (Austin Ave), Lougheed Mall isn't going to expand over the street.

Shape Properties owns both Lougheed Mall and the Sears Outlet store site.
In theory, passengers arriing from the west would benefit from a direct concourse link off the platform (Plaza 88 style)

Yeah - it's in the tunnel construction schedule here:

They have to reconfigure the tunnel work area at the north portal.
