A couple shots from SEFC. Telus Garden office, Rogers Arena tower: will be very visible because their locations are on the edges of the tall core. MNP tower will also be more visible around SEFC because of its location.

Those are the ones I meant - thought the building lining that alley (facing Woodward's) was Cambie Hotel.

also, Vancitybuzz posted a bunch of proposals for this year's Robson redux (summertime pedestrian plaza in front of the art gallery)
the winner will be announced April 15th.

It goes before Urban Design Panel on Wednesday. The front images of the building are pretty slick too.

The beautiful concrete and glass facade could be blocked by a future building next door along Seymour, leaving only the all-too-common glass faces exposed. That would be such a waste!

Thanks!

Note this comment on the Changing City Updates page:

There are angled glazed sections in the Seymour facade that don’t show up well from this angle, but which add an extra level of variation
The stone anchors the building at the back - unlike the reclad of 570 Dunsmuir (@ Seymour),
which (apart from ditching the spandrel) should have had stone or concrete at its back corners.

Tarps are coming off the Dominion Motors Building - it's now taupe instead of white:

I guess it looks more gothic - a bit like limestone, but not quite the right shade.

Pic by me today:

People are opposing the filling-in of the plaza at the Grosvenor Building - due to the loss of 4 cherry trees (and some lunchtime benches).
Hmmm - they're in planters, aren't they? They should be capable of being transplanted.
