Decades from now you'll still hear some say, "They should've kept it open!"

Heck, just the other day I overheard someone at work saying they miss the rathole on 109 Street because then they hate waiting for the light at 104 Ave.

I haven't even thought of the rat hole for years, and I most definitely have never heard anyone say that they missed it.

Boy, could this turn into a real showcase, a good one. Something in the design to wow citizens and draw them to see what's possible.

District energy and tube collection are both being vetted right now and appear to be challenged in terms of ROI and practicality here.

If it is anything like other attempts at building swim-able public lakes, you basically need to build an outdoor pool, a code issue competitors likely didn't contemplate.

The lake in Summerside is swim-able and is quite a nice neighborhood feature.

Swimming or not, I liked the idea of a rowing (sailing)? feature in the middle of the neighbourhood. If it is to become a SWMF, then it won't even be skateable in the winter.

Summerside is a private amenity, unlike what this should be IMO.

I really do hope they allow paddle, canoes on it.

It is a 32 acre private lake for residents of Summerside to use for swimming, fishing, boating (non motorized).
