Wells and Company is showing it on their website and is actively marketing it as being planned to open this Summer. Not sure if they are still planning such an aggressive schedule. If so I would assume it would be a phased approach of opening some of the building to start and then continue working on it as they fill it - which admittedly would be a difficult proposition, just not sure another way to build it out between today and even August 31.

Drove by the Bennett Block this weekend and noticed them doing some work on the Howard St side exterior. I wonder if they're starting renovation work:

I saw another rendering for the CC Hotel project in my Journal Of Business sent to me this week also. It appeared to have some windows on the East and West sides- looked a little better than the last few pictures I have seen. Sorry no link provided. Maybe someone can assist with this.

For some reason the picture won't show itself on the thread. So here's a link:

Part of the top floor doesn't appear to be set back any more, too.

Meh.

Saw this story on the new hotel on KXLY when I was in Spokane last weekend. Most of the things said in the video you probably already know, but its nice to see anyways......

Ridpath

Another KXLY story on the Ridpath redevelopment. The bad news is that there was a pipe break that looks like it caused some extensive damage. The good news is that work appears to be moving along well on the interior spaces but this will set them back for a few months. Getting the Ridpath up and running would be a big step forward.

I like the riverfront park ideas. Those need to happen. I would prefer to go big on this. The pavilion ideas look fantastic.

A few more pictures posted on here. I sure would like to see more glass and a non flat roof top. At street level it looks real good.

See the write up from the up from Spokane Rising blog regarding Main St behind the new hotel. I was afraid that this might happen. It would have been nice to see some retail facing that street.

It's not the worst-case scenario. At least there are windows. That said, I certainly agree with you; it could have been done much better.

There were some indications earlier on that the apparent interior space on the Main Street side would be used initially as flexible space and then later on as meeting space, but I don't really know where I heard that or whether that's still the case. If it is, then it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that this could potentially be reconfigured for retail in the future if the demand is there.

I'm also curious whether discussions with third-party brands have progressed at all. Originally it looked like we might be getting a Hyatt or a Marriott. Now it seems like Worthy might be going it alone.
