Sorry, I don't think you are correct. As I understand it, Fairmount Avenue was not always Fairmount Avenue - the restaurant 'Hickory Lane' (across the street from the Eastern State) is actually an historic eponym.

Last I heard they were "finalizing the deal." We had a guy from Toll brothers in our office so it wasn't word of mouth. It was straight from the source.

Fairmount Hill is most certainly the hill on which sits the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Maybe Oxford and Related decide to do a Hudson Yards South in Philly? That would be awesome if something like that happened.

The only Hudson Yards project ( fact or fiction ) I know of is up on the Island
around Tenth av. , mid town . From the Aesop fable I have read , it will include
a half dozen super falls . Concluding with the 1800' Hudson Spire .

Not something you will see around here .... ever !

PS ; Remember what happened to that 1510' ACC tower ?

Yeah, it's a shame the ACC tower was replaced by an actual plan with real design, engineering, approvals, permits, money and realism.

Well if the ACC in Philly or that wishful thinking 1800'er at Hudson Yards is a
pipe dream .... How about that mega monster in Chicago that International
Property Developers dreamed up . The " Old Post Office Redevelopment Tower "
2000' straight up . Gotta have a three foot sway off center on a calm day .
Wouldn't want to have a hang over at the top of that sucker !

So , I guess super tall fans should be happy with CITC .... I just wish the roof
line was 50 or 60 feet higher . That would make the tallest in Philly a bit more
legitimate and not dependent on a 120' finger . Of course the powers that be ,
don't give a damn about what I wish for ........

Well if you have some inside info please share as best you can - this would really change a lot and tie the two sides of the river well.

Time will tell but it seems more and more new continue in the positive sense

would love to see tech concentrated growth growing off of the new CTIC - jut a personal hope and new jobs.

Whoever will be "leading the planning effort" will not be financing the actual development. Planning is one thing, but executing a plan is whole 'nother story. See Penn's Landing.

That said, it will be cool to see what they come up with.

I've heard rumors of Kieran Timberlake playing some role in this (Drexel/Rail Yard redevelopment). I'm not sure how (they are somewhat of a sustainable architecture firm), but I've heard this through the grapevine at work. Anybody else catch wind of this?

That's not the rumor I've heard. There will be Drexel/Amtrak rumors and Drexel Superblock rumors, too.
