I thought only the partners spilt. One went and formed Pike Projects, while Desmond maintains BIOS. Did BIOS close shop?

He is still an active architect, just doing smaller projects out of his house rather than an office.

Didn't realize bios was gone. That's a shame.

Forgot about the bag factory project. Great news that it's starting up. Keep growing the density.

Boretta Construction is the Construction Manager.

Does anybody know the actual status of this project? Unless somebody is interested in either losing money or seeing no return at all, there isn't any financial way on earth this project can be done on a rental basis, let alone done with a construction manager and no stipulated price.

Somebody needs to keep digging here. These guys are $10MM overbudget on their D condo project that has yet to actually begin and now they're floating a *rental* project in a factory that was operational up until last year? Who's running the finances over there?

^ I think the developers of D condo are a little green - especially for a project of that size. The have been running into some difficulties with costs and consultants. I hope it gets off the ground, but I think they are experiencing a steep learning curve.

Apartments have rent controls which are the opposite of subsidies.
