Any idea what they're going to do with the current Four Seasons after they relocate

^^The current Four Seasons will be replaced by another hotel by the same company that operates Four Seasons apparently. I forget the name of the hotel that will be replacing it at the moment.

As for the hotel at the old family court building. Please oh please cap some of the Vine Street expressway. Thanks!

And for those asking about 23rd and Arch. No idea when the "official" announcement will be. They met with LSNA last Tuesday. I expected renderings to be released. I did not attend the meeting. The renderings posted here are old renderings I posted a couple of months back.

I heard this on the radio. I know some of you will be thankful for the redesign. I think the redesign makes sense, although I did appreciate the original design too.

In an article talking about the mid-market retail and strong rent growth being pushed by young, white collar, single people making money and living in Center City at the very end we get a hint from Salove about the Gallery. "More details" about gallery plans at the earnings report meeting today and investors meeting tomorrow. Here's hoping we get real plans and that we start finding out who the retailers will be.

Pardon my slightly off subject statement but , What is the ( apparent ) empty
14+ story building at 401 N. Broad . Are there any plans to restore what
appears to have been an attractive addition to that neighborhood ......

The North American Building isn't empty-- it just looks that way. Huge telecom hub and data (both physical and digital) storage center. Has 1.3 million sf of space, its own power plant, and its own zipcode. Also the first building in the city with a built-in parking garage.

Apparently it's one of the most valuable buildings in the city

Not called north American building tho, that's at broad and sansom

Yeah it was originally the Terminal Commerce Building, but was known as the North American when the North American Publishing Company was the headline tenant.

The Broad & Sansom North American building is interesting in that it was briefly taller than City Hall while both were under construction. One cool thing about it is that the facade was done top-down. Wish there were pictures of it.

Aaamazarite ...... The thing that attracted me to this location in the first place , is the magnificent stain class or art deco panels on the top floors . Probably a lost art that will never be duplicated again . Hopefully this piece of art will adorn north Broad for many more years .

Er, that's Terra Cotta. And as Aaamazarite pointed out, this building will not be changing its vital role any time in the foreseeable future. Virtually every telecom, ISP and network provider in the region has a massive presence in 401 N. Broad. I know this first-hand.

Building a residential tower on top of the Lit Brothers building? Wow. Certainly the first I've heard of that... only last year they were applying for digital signs on their roof... If that's happening, then I think we can be pretty sure that liftoff for Market East is quick approaching.
