Totally disagree, the pre-modification EATON'S was far better on the corner of Robson and Howe than the 'Sears eaton's experiment' changes. it was architecturally unified and cohesive with the rest of the building, far more balanced and pleasing. The black blade-sign aligned with the edge of the black glass entry. The bevelled edge was elegant and classy. Few complained when EATON'S was the tenant, they took immaculate care of the building, it was always spotless and very white!... quite striking in it's day especially before the 1980 'cap' style addition of the 6th and 7th floors.
