OK those 811 Peachtree renderings are fantastic. this is going to be really cool.

but hold the show - did i hear that renders were shown for 1138 Peachtree as well? i have been anticipating renders for that and am really interested to see those.. whether good or bad i want to see em. can we get more info on that?

* also that news about the new puppetry arts museum to house the "definitive" Jim Henson collection is also fantastic news. im really excited about that too

EDIT ( those renders are too awesome not to include on this new page )

Agreed, although it isn't my favorite style- it is exciting, different, and the kind of difference that we need. I am especially happy with the incorporation of the parking and the retail component.

Yeah, 811 looks really nice. This is definitely a step in this right direction for Atlanta. This is also a big step for the Integral Group as they've never built anything of this size and scale. Kudos to them for stepping up to the plate!

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU ON EVERYTHING,I'm also curious about the 1138 peachtree as you are.

I Really love the 811 peachtree rendering it unique to the city's structure and no other building is like this in the atlanta area, currently I think it could change the idea's of new developers and retailors idea of constructing towers here, also I look foward for more developers and retailors to do ideas like this and I really love how they add this nice texture of green.

*DAILY QUESTIONS*
1. Has anyone seen the light on 191 peachtree it looks amazing?!?!?!

2. Any renderings of 98 14 st yet im anxious to see this and start constructed.

came to this site emporis.com and found somethings of 1138 peachtree

Yes its blue n some type of goldish, its pretty nice I saw it riding skyview last night. The luckie marrietta distric look amazing all the lights look so amazing the blending with the skyview, fountain of rings, tower lights n cetennial,12 cetennial,191 tower and etc. Its blends in perfecty and the people who said that skyview wouldn't last TOLD YOU IT WOULD…it has been really known like internationally, but when i was their, the lady said the owepner thinking about maken it 400ft tall later on during the years.....that would be nice but, they would have to tear something down or block those roads or relocate it somewhere else in the city,in my dreams if they do this the should add a reflecting pool to this or they should but it near the highway where people have more ooohs and ahhs, blending in with the CAP OVER CONNECTOR
BY THE WAY WHEN DOES THIS PROJECT START LAST TIME I HEARD WAS IN SEPTEMBER AND THEY WERE GOING TO DO IT THIS YEAR?

Wow! Did Perkins + Will ever come through on this design.

The bar for high rise residential design in Midtown is officially raised!

So were the 1138 renderings that poorly received that they aren't posting them or something? All I've read is that the design is "uninspired" for a 50 story building. There has to be someone who was there who can at least give us a better description than that. Maybe draw us a picture? Haha I'm sorry but the suspense is killing me - 50 stories is a big deal in Atlanta

I guess the new digs in Atlanta must be inspiring some great work out of Perkins + Will.

found a old rendering of 1138 peachtree

the old one and the new current one is about the same height but if it get build i will make it dense trenmendously found this photo,
*****view from piedmont park and it shows; 12 and midtown and 1138 peachtree if this does work it will have a dramatic skyline+ other renderings around this****

this so amazing i love this small time boom of atlanta looking forward of this year of more proposes of 50+ stories, i think it will really hit atlanta when the unemployment rate drops to atleast 5%

Westside Warehouse To Become Retail Space

The property, located at 1071 Howell Mill Road, is a development site located across the street from White Provision at the intersection of Howell Mill Road and Brady Avenue in the Westside Provisions District of West Midtown Atlanta.
Currently improved with a 34,000 square foot warehouse building the property will be renovated to provide approximately 12,500 rentable square feet.Westbridge Partners has teamed with Meddin Company to renovate the warehouse and substantially shrink the leasable square footage to 12,500 square feet. The project will be anchored by "a new restaurant from the Yeah! Burger team focusing on healthy driven fare".

I was wondering the same thing. While I am very pleased with the 811 Peachtree Street rendering, I am also curious as to what the 1138 Peachtree tower will look like. At 51 stories, it will make an impact on the skyline.

It is a square, all glass box with balconies sticking out. Thhere are no flourishes, no crown, nothing that stands out. The windows are a deep blue hue.

It may eventually change, but the current rendering is just boring. This is probably the closest to what it looks like:

well that's depressing to hear. surely they havent finalized the design yet. what did their presentation entail? was presenting the render the objective or was the purpose more around code, retail spaces, etc etc ?

Jarod, thank you so much for your reply.

Okay, the description sounds boring enough. At 51 stories, that would put it in the 525'-550' range right? For such a tall proposal, one would think that they would do something with the top to make it stand out. Even if the top remains flat. I am not against flat top simply buildings. Manhattan is littered with them.

I guess having a Peachtree Street address trumps the need for an over-the-top design. I hope the street level treatment makes up for its lack-a-daisy design. How was it received by the review board?

I'm perfectly fine with simple and flat. We have enough crowns in our skyline. Too many more and it'll look gaudy. As long as it doesn't look cheap and lights up nice at night.

i think this design from back in 2008 ( or earlier? not sure ) looks fantastic... it's basically a box but has enough variation in the facade to make it interesting.. who knows if the final product will look anything remotely like this. i think at this point i just want to see what they are thinking. just gotta be patient i guess
