I think a great place for a midtown would be lower south philly. By car it is still decently accessible by all the burbs and well connected to the city by the BSL. Otherwise I think the extension for center city should go down broad street.

The river and the universities are too big of a disruption to let that area be a proper extension.

still want that big lot on 23rd and Market to infill but think its highly poluted

I guess the roof will start sloping upwards towards the crane soon.

I love the fact that there are multiple skyscrapers on both sides of the river now. It will soon appear like Center City has a river going through it, instead of rivers on both sides of it.

Or he could be back for a possible role in "Hot Wheels" which is being filmed in Philadelphia with director Simon Crane. He has worked with Pitt in World War Z and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Just an FYI, sorry for the off topic.

that tower is Cira Centre 2. there is no timeline for its construction as of now, but it is still in their longterm plan to build it, as far as i know. 5 years? 10 years? maybe summersm can answer that one.

in the planning phase they were being marketed/proposed as a single development. i remember someone mentioning that when FMC construction got underway that they would split it into two threads.

Drexel has eyes on developing a parcel of land every year or two. This may be the first tower to be built in the innovation neighborhood. Likely 5 years out...

I don't know why I didn't think it would, but it's great to see. You can see the cranes even walking on Chestnut from here.
