Big enough for Victoria's Secret and Pink.

I can actually see that becoming a forever 21, they are expanding right now and they require a large foot print like that. It is possible its VS, but I just have a feeling its going to forever 21.

Very unlikely. The space will be about 8000 sqft, barely enough for a VS and Pink let alone a F21 (their new Halifax store is well over 30,000 sqft).

Holy yes you are correct, I just checked its just under 10,000 the space in Champlain and the F21 is 32,000... The one in Toronto I used to go to never seemed that big. That is quite the store size.

I was just looking at the floor plans for the Eaton Center in Toronto, which is also run by CF and the Forever 21 there is 12,604 sq. ft. so it is very possible if Reitman's was to move around and the Pink store is just over 5,000 and the VS store, they are separate is just over 10,000... so a Pink store seems possible or VS... but who knows.

The combined VS + Pink here is 12,000 sqft

That seems to be the general size for them combined for malls across Canada, in BC there is a forever 21 ( only womens clothing) that is 6,919 sq. ft. That one is in Vancouver.

Our space is about 8,000 sq ft. I have no problem with a VS/Pink here in Moncton with a smaller footprint. We are after all a smaller market.

Even better!!

The above image (which I posted several months ago) shows the combined space that is now up for grabs. This is a little over 80% the size of the footprint of VS/Pink at the HSC. This is easily large enough to accomodate a combo store.

The rumour of VS at Champlain has been going on for too long to ignore. We should know within six months if this is happening or not…….

I mentioned this space being a Forever21 last year and most people here brushed it off. It could happen in this location or elsewhere inside the mall in the future. Just sayin! The cat should be out of the bag soon.

Forever 21 has many different store formats, each carrying different combinations of their labels. The largest stores are considered flagship locations. This space could certainly house a F21 of some sort, but I think most signs overwhelmingly point to it being VS/Pink

Not dissing VS, Pink and forever 21 I am sick and tired just seeing chick only clothing and heme stores at the mall. I wish there would be some more male oriented shops. But that is my take. I wish that Champlain Place would do so.

Forever 21 has a really good men's section of clothing, thats the only reason why I wish it would be them.

Only the 24,000+ sqft (Flagship) F21 stores have a men's section

The Mapleton Centre website is back up and running again. The website is unchanged and contains no new information…...

Well, this is interesting……

Bass Pro Shops is advertising online for several positions (including an assistant general manager and an HR manager for their Moncton, New Brunswick store. This could be the first concrete evidence of their intentions to open a store here (aside from their official announcement last October).

http://jobview.monster.ca/human-resources-manager-job-moncton-nb-ca-128589840.aspx

It would appear that Moncton is indeed going to get both Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops……….

Maybe someone read our forum and told them to get it back.. But I wish they would get their act together and fill up those vacant spots!! With either independent or even established retailers.

Suzy Sheir is in fact moving into the old Sirens location. The construction drywall is up and there is a building permit posted for the interior renovations.

Children's Place however is indeed relocating to the old Suzy Sheir location. Again, construction drywall is up and a building permit is posted.

So, we now have a mall space of 9,600 sq ft consolidated on the most prominent corner in the mall. I suspect that the renovations will be done by late this spring allowing Children's Place to move. Then, the consolidated space will in turn be renovated for the "signature retailer", probably with an opening by next Christmas.

It would appear that things will be progressing very quickly this year on this file……….
