Beautfiul picture, but those lots along the train really need to start getting developed. Ugliest strip in the inner-city right there.

The topography in Calgary often hides the density of the Beltline and around DT from many vantage points. I really like how there are completely different views available from all around the city.

That's the angle that makes me most hope the Palliser Balls never get built. From pretty well anywhere in SW (including my bedroom) the Calgary Tower has a nice clean look, standing apart from the skyline. Obscuring the shaft with mediocre office towers will detract from the tower while adding nothing of worth to the skyline.

Over time the tower will either become kinda quirky and cool or it will be lost in the skyline and become entirely irrelevant. I'm hoping for quirky.
