What a unique skyline Quebec has. Not the biggest, not the most impressive, but the nicest, in my opinion.

I might actually agree. It really does have a romance to it. I'm not sure if it's the nicest for me, but aesthetically it is top 3 in Canada.

Exactly ! It was taken around there : https://maps.google.ca/maps?q=ville+...gl=ca&t=m&z=15

I'm with you there. It's almost soothing to look at.

Dundas Square is rather ugly at street level, but it sure makes a nice pic from above though.

That is a very impressive view. Just when you think you've seen Toronto from every possible angle, a new perspective emerges... love it.

MonkeyRonin, I absolutely love every collection of Toronto photos that you post to this thread. Keep it up!

Screaming: It's a cool location but it's far too close to the water for me. This house has already lost one veranda and had its bottom floor flooded. Any bit of wind and the waves are splashing up against it. We had a storm a couple of years ago and a few buildings in the Battery were destroyed. This thing is going to go eventually, and I don't want to be in it when it does.

I can't find a shot of it from the other side of the Narrows, but it's even closer to the water than this red one and in a more exposed area.

The grey house on the right is as low as I'd go.

Nowhere near. That 2nd picture is actually photographing part of a 2 kilometer stretch of LRT that was completely underwater, about a quarter of which was destroyed. Nothing like that has ever happened.

A couple of friends had to be evacuated but no damage to their homes (they live in condo towers). A couple that I'm friends with had their home catastrophically damaged though, they lost hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of assets and are still rebuilding, and neither of my cousins here were effected, I live in the NW so I wasn't effected either. There are a couple of forumers who were impacted pretty severely, Bigtime's home was damaged quite severely from what he's said. He lives in Sunnyside.

Thank you. That's sad

Do you know if the city said something about protecting the city better, to avoid another disaster like that ?
